People and Culture Lead

The People and Culture Lead is a newly created leadership role resulting from restructuring and reflection on key organisational needs.
The People and Culture Lead will drive operational excellence while fostering an inclusive organisational culture, and supporting strategic development. The role integrates people management and development, organisation development and culture, and operational management to ensure the organisation remains agile, compliant, and mission-aligned.

Country Coordinator – Cameroon
The scope and scale of Well Grounded’s programmes in Cameroon and across the Congo Basin region have grown in recent years, creating a need for more coordination across programmes, and a country-level strategic focus. The Country Coordinator – Cameroon position has been developed to anchor our activities in Cameroonian realities, facilitate the design and delivery of a coherent and impactful country strategy, and coordinate country operations, while engaging with local partners and stakeholders and representing Well Grounded.
As Country Coordinator, you’ll be the face of our organisation in Cameroon, driving partnerships, building relationships, and leading the charge on our strategy. Your mission is to ensure our initiatives are relevant, effective, and aligned with local needs and global goals.
You’ll connect with local and international stakeholders, manage our country office, and create a supportive environment for our work to thrive. By tapping into internal strengths and seizing external opportunities, you’ll help shape impactful, context-driven strategies and activities.
Your role includes analysing local realities, ensuring our approach meets community needs, and driving continuous improvement. You’ll develop collaborative frameworks and embrace innovative learning methods to keep us agile and effective. Using feedback and lessons learned, you’ll fine-tune strategies and operations to maximise impact with our partners.

Finance & Admin Assistant
Well Grounded is looking for a Finance & Admin Assistant (FAA) to be part of the finance team of an international NGO. The ideal candidate will be a bi-lingual with sufficient grip on English, based in Yaoundé, eligible to work in Cameroon and flexible to work from the office and virtually. FAA will be directly reporting to the Head of Finance (based in London) and work closely with the Regional Lead (based in Yaoundé).
We are looking for an individual who is excited to work in the non-profit sector, become a valuable member of a globally dispersed team, and be ready to adapt to our organisational culture. More specifically, we are looking for a finance professional with a relevant (finance/accounting) academic background and some proven experience of working in the field, ideally within a charity. The candidate will have a good understanding of financial procedures and tools such as bookkeeping, payments, bank reconciliations, payables/receivables, cashflow (petty cash), logistics and office administration. MS Excel skills are a must, and experience of working on accounting software (Quickbooks, Xero, Sage) is desirable.
In the personal specification, the candidate will have good verbal and writing communication skills (both in English & French), and be organised, able to work with strict deadlines, and in an organisational environment with accuracy, accountability and flexibility.This position is being offered on a one year consultancy contract (with a probation period), with guaranteed work of 18 days per month and potential renewal/extension.
