Ali has an excellent combination of academic background and work experience in the finance sector. Soon after he graduated from London South Bank University with BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance in September 2014, he was offered a role in the same university to work on a financial analysis project designed to help in executive decision making. During his studies, he used his term break times to enhance his experience in field accountancy and joined a London based accounting practice called ‘ProAccounts UK’. He also completed his MSc degree in Accounting & Management from Queen Mary University in London.
Ali joined Well Grounded in November 2018 as Finance & Grant Manager, based in London. He brings his accounting and financial management expertise to support and implement the new organisational structure that centralises the organisation’s finances and re-designs its financial management.
Before joining Well Grounded, he has worked for Restless Development, an international NGO. His role there mainly included coordinating the intercompany financial transactions within 8 country hubs and financial management of various projects including DFID, Gates and Danish Mission. He has travelled to Zimbabwe, Zambia and Cameroon for work reasons. Ali is looking forward to continue expanding his financial experience and knowledge in the non-profit sector and, this way, to contribute to a better society.
